Brandon Jones

Brandon Jones

Raised on a farm in Sampson County, NC, Brandon's aptitude for all things mechanical led him to pursue an Associates Degree in Tool and Dye Mold Making. In other words, he didn’t just use tools to fix things; he learned how to make the tools that fix things! A lifelong student, Brandon was later awarded a scholarship to train in automotive technology and worked at independent and dealer-owned shops before joining the team at Atlantic Car Care. Even in his spare time, Brandon likes tinkering with cars. He is currently rebuilding a 1995 Ford Thunderbird with a 1998 Mustang Cobra engine.

Jay Bridges

Jay Bridges, Service Manager

Jay first moved to the Wilmington area in 2006. When he started having trouble with his transmission, a friend recommended he visit Atlantic Car Care. While talking with Mike, he found they were looking for someone to help manage the front office. Jay needed car repair, and Mike needed someone to manage the from office. It was a win-win situation! Jay keeps the office running smoothly, handling everything from ordering parts to assisting customers.

A North Carolina native, Jay grew up enjoying the outdoors with his family in Durham. When he’s not at the shop, you can still find him enjoying a day a long day of fishing, or spending time with his wife, son, and daughter.

Joel Vanderbilt

Joel Vanderbilt, Technician

Joel started in the automotive industry as a teenager when his parents told him he had to build his first car. He bought a 66 Mustang and got a job at a parts store. From there he worked on several friends’ cars and learned enough to change tires for a local shop. After 10+ years of professional experience learning from other automotive technicians, Joel became a Class A Technician.

After being laid off from his last shop due to the slow economy, Joel answered Ads for employment and answered ours! We know Joel is a qualified and able technician and are glad to have him as a part of the team. Joel is one of our go-to guys to diagnose, repair and maintain the vehicles we service. From alignments to engine swaps (and everything in between), Joel knows the ins and outs of your vehicle.

When not turning wrenches, Joel spends time with his wife and 3 kids and plays guitar in a few local bands!
